CheckIn helps event hosts run guest lists, RSVPs and check-in at the door. Hosts upload or sync their guests' details; guests don't create an account. This page explains, in plain words, what that involves, for you as a host and for the guests on your list.

What's collected

Why

Only to run your event: to send your invitations, reminders and confirmations, collect RSVPs, check guests in, and show your team who has arrived.

Your responsibilities as a host

You decide whose details go into CheckIn, so please:

Who sees it

Your event's guest list is seen by you and the staff you give access to that event. If your event also uses UXDiff's Seating, Voting or Announce apps, they read the same list for that event only (for example, Announce can show an arriving guest's name on your event's screen). Guests see only their own RSVP page.

Emails go out through UXDiff's own mail service and email host, or through your own email account if you turn on custom email sending for the event. If you connect a spreadsheet for Live Spreadsheet Sync, CheckIn reads that sheet with read-only access and never changes it.

We never sell or share your guests' data, and we don't use it for anything but your event.

How long it's kept

An event's guest list, RSVPs and check-in records are kept until you delete the event; deleting it removes them. There's no automatic clean-up, apart from kiosk photos, which are deleted after 72 hours.

Choices for guests

If you're a guest and want your details corrected or removed, ask the host who invited you. You can also contact UXDiff through the link below, telling us the event's name, and we'll pass your request to the host.

No tracking

CheckIn uses no analytics, no advertising pixels and no third-party fonts, so there's no cookie banner. Staff stay signed in with a sign-in token kept in that browser tab until they sign out or close it.
